As many of you are aware schools and businesses will shut and people will only be able to go out for essential reasons as Brisbane enters a three-day shutdown this afternoon.The lockdown will come into effect at 5pm this afternoon Monday 29th March in Greater Brisbane after 10 new COVID-19 cases were recorded overnight.Stockwell International would like to remind customers that all freight forwarding is considered essential and at this point essential workers are still able to go to work.  If a work from home order is issued, Stockwells is in a position to commence our work from home plan and business will go ahead as usual.

Container Vessel Ever Given still Stuck in Suez Canal
As many are already aware, the Panama-flagged ship, Ever Given, veered off its course in a single-lane stretch of the canal during a sandstorm on Tuesday.Now, more than 360 vessels have been stranded in the Mediterranean to the north and in the Red Sea at the other end as well as in holding zones.

Tugboats and dredgers are still currently working to free the vessel, with not much progress being made. See below image for more info;

The knock-on effects of this situation will cause delays world-wide.
